Australia Day

I woke up today and ate my Weet-Bix with 100% Australian Honey, skim milk from Australian cows and Australian grown bananas.

I then dressed myself in the jersey of my favourite Australian Rules Football Team and drove my Australian made Holden Commodore to my mates place for a BBQ. There I listened to the Australian radio station's countdown of the best 100 tracks of 2005 that, like everyday on Triple J, was biased towards Australian artists. Simultaneously I watched the Australian cricket team win at cricket whilst sinking Australian beers sitting in the Australian heat.

I then drove home and made some vegemite on toast.

Today was good times, although I do feel like I should have done something special for Australia day.

Your australia day sounds more australian than mine. I sat on the couch and listened to the radio. :(

Disappointing lack of boomerangs, kangaroos, didgeridoos, and rousing renditions of Waltzing Maltida. :(

Tim, the cricket was great. Not so much the game, which was a rather drab affair, but the day in general. There was a mexican wave that went around the ground 6 times! As usual, it died down around the members area but picked up again either side of the stands. However, I would never recommend drinking an entire bottle of vodka in the 40C heat without eating anything all day, or drinking any water. Bad move on my part :-(

Oh, and I'm so sorry Brad, I forgot to reply to ur "Happy Australia Day!" message. I must say it touched me deeply. It deserved a reply and i sincerely regret any offence I may have caused.

PS I think "Feel Good Inc." should have come number 1. While Bernard Fanning is good, I don't think "Wish You Well" deserved the coveted number 1 spot. And Wolfmother rock!!

Nope. It was a chick that was banned from INTL, and now she can't pester Brad in RS (a forum that needs posts to access, Mr. 0 posts).

Promoted Entry: The Hidden Life of Trees

I love trees. They're tall and stoic, so I relate to them. I feel a sense of serenity and belonging when walking beneath an ancient forest canopy and that is not just because most ancient forest canopies I've walked under have been adjacent to a thriving craft beer industry

Too much for me summarise in a review. Instead, I thought I'd share a single takeaway and challenge from each of the sessions.
